Great way to learn about Latvia. I did the tour with Kristine today. It was super interesting. It was well paced, covered lots of history and culture, and included the places I had already decided I wanted to see. I highly recommend this tour.

Great walking tour! Made us see and learn so much about Riga, even after living there for a couple of months. Kristine was the greatest guide, I recommend it to anyone passing through Riga!

History in a nutshell. We took the OLD RIGA TOUR on 5.3. – our guide was Kristine. We were told all about Latvias and Rigas history and shown all important and very nice/old landmarks and sights. Kristine spoke perfectly English and made the tour a really interesting experience. It was good to see/feel how important freedom is for the locals. We can highly recommend the tour.

Great local tour of Riga Old Town. Rita conducted an efficient and informative tour with many cultural insights. Rita’s viewpoint as a local was interesting and informative with many cultural insights. Started with a historical backdrop that led to an understanding of the country’s view of their place in the world. Highly recommended your.

Fantastic 2 hours. Fantastic free tour. Had a very interesting and informative tour, out guide Toms certainly knew his history. Lots of information was packed into the 2 hours and we leant not just lots about Riga and Latvia but history in general. Toms made all the group feel welcome and included. We had a few jokes and numerous anecdotes. If in Riga I would recommend this tour.

Where medieval history and Art Nouveau architecture come

Riga was chosen as a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its stunning collection of Art Nouveau architecture — the largest in Europe! But let’s be honest, this is no secret. Latvia’s capital has a global reputation for its rich architectural heritage. There’s much more to Riga than its architecture. The city’s Medieval history is in stark contrast to its modern and vibrant entertainment scene. When you embark on your Riga walking tour, you’ll get to see the real city from the perspective of a local.

If the city has a cultural soul, it’s Old Riga — known locally as Vecrīga. Characterized by its cobblestone streets and Art Nouveau architecture, this part of town is home to landmarks such as Riga Cathedral, St Peter’s Church, and the House of the Blackheads.

If you’re here to explore the city’s architectural wonders, you’ll find a treasure trove of fine examples on Alberta and Elizabetes Streets. Meanwhile, Central Market is the place to be if you want to browse the products of local artisans and stall owners. This is also a great place to grab a bite to eat!

From the Latvian National Opera House to Riga Castle and its 600-year history, this charming city is home to a wealth of cultural and historical attractions. Whether you take a stroll surrounded by the harmonious tones of street performers or escape the hustle and bustle of city life in one of Riga’s parks, you’ll never be too far away from beauty and cultural charm.

Make sure you see Riga at its very best. Booking a Riga walking tour with a local guide will give you insights and hidden gems you simply won’t get by yourself. With us by your side, you’ll get to experience this stunning capital city from the perspective of those who were shaped by it.
